PASSENGER CAR AND LIGHT TRUCK WHEEL ALIGNMENTS
Tru-Line Automotive performs thousands of wheel alignments per year on everyday passenger vehicles and light trucks. Tru-Line Automotive knows the particular idiosyncrasies of virtually every car on the road. Tru-Line also has the ability to service electro-magnetic steering systems that are now incorporated within many of the vehicles built after 2002. Our new Hunter computerized alignment system incorporates electric steering centering and steering angle corrections. Our alignment system is updated immediately as updated software becomes available.

In addition, Tru-Line aligns thousands of vehicles for body shops that need the expertise of a frame shop to properly align their customer’s vehicles. EXOTIC AND RARE VEHICLE ALIGNMENTS
Tru-Line Automotive in Van Nuys has been servicing exotic and rare cars for over 50 years. Tru-Line Automotive utilizes the latest Hunter Computerized Wheel Alignment system to service the most current vehicles on the road today.
MEDIUM & HEAVY DUTY TRUCK ALIGNMENT
Tru-Line Automotive in Van Nuys also has several “Old School” Bear Eavy Duty Alignment racks that allow us to re-position HD truck axles for p roper camber and tire wear. Tru-Line Automotive utilizes Heavy Duty Hydraulics and custom-made tooling (most of which was designed and fabricated in-house) for re-positioning procedures.
VIBRATION DIAGNOSTICS
Tru-Line Automotive has multiple procedures available to locate and repair problematic vibrations. Tru-Line Automotive’s personnel are very well versed in these procedures and in the operation of Tru-Line Automotive’s equipment. Vibration diagnostic methods are not taught in automotive schools today and are only built over years of experience and continued mentoring. Vibration diagnostics are truly a lost art in the automotive field, except here at Tru-Line Automotive in Van Nuys. We can Computer Balance your tires and then finish off with a high-speed car wheel balance for fine-tuning. Over-sized tires are no problem.

EQUIPMENT CALIBRATION
Tru-Line Automotive routinely inspects and calibrates all of our alignment racks and equipment. Calibration is critical in order to obtain a good alignment. Our factory Hunter service representative, Jim Bloomfield, regularly services our Hunter alignment equipment. The staff regularly checks the rack levels and alignment implements for accuracy. As Jim has stated,“It’s a rare thing to see properly calibrated equipment, most wheel alignments performed out there are actually out of specs because the equipment is not properly calibrated. Many of the computer alignments performed [in other shops] are by inexperienced technicians who were never properly trained in the maintenance of their equipment or in the understanding of the true geometry of alignment angles”.
TIRE SALES
Tru-line Automotive sells all tires just slightly over cost as a convenience to our customers. We like to keep tire installations in-house for several reasons:
- It allows us to match the correct tire to your vehicle. We have the experience to know which tires are problematic and which tires meet your particular driving needs.
- It is convenient for our customers because Tru-Line can install the tires while our customer’s vehicles are being serviced.
- It saves time for our customers by eliminating a second time-wasting trip by purchasing tires elsewhere.
- All major tire brands are available – We sell Michelin, Dunlap, and all other brands of tires. We also carry tires for specialty vehicles and exotics.
